Autobarn Know How

    UHF Radios

The range of uses for UHF radio are endless from home, office, warehouse, schools and club environment to four wheel driving.

UHF radios use Ultra High Frequency to communicate with other UHF radios. Each radio must be set to the same frequency or channel to communicate with each other.

UHF radios function on a line of sight principle. The signal passes from one unit to the other. The maximum range is dependent upon the wattage of the UHF radio itself.

Higher wattage UHF radios with appropriate long range antennas will have a much longer range, which is recommended for remote areas.

UHF radios are now better quality and more affordable than ever.

When four wheel driving in scenarios where your mobile phone won’t have coverage your UHF radio could be your life line in the event of trouble.

At Autobarn we carry a vast range of UHF radios and accessories to suit your needs. We can also professionally install your system.
