    4 Tips for Car Care

Follow these 4 simple tips to maintain a great look for your car. It’s important to keep your car’s exterior and interior in good condition to maintain the resale value and make it a more enjoyable ride.

    Tip 1 - Wash

Washing alone may not remove all the built up contaminants such as dirt, bugs and tar.

  • Apply a bug and tar remover onto the effected area with a microfibre cloth.
  • Leave for 30 seconds to allow the product to dissolve the contaminants before removing with a clean microfibre cloth.
  • Spray a detailer as a lubricant onto remaining contaminants and rub a clay bar over the area.
  • When the surface is smooth, dry with a clean microfibre cloth

    Tip 3 - Wheel & Tyre

Make your wheels & tyres look new again.

  • Wheels and tyres are one of the easiest areas to bring back to their original appearance.
  • Your wheels are in constant contact with the road so it’s important to clean them regularly to remove brake dust, road grime and other contaminants.
  • Ensure that you select a wheel cleaner that is safe for your wheels and never use wheel cleaner products on hot wheels as this may damage the finish

    Tip 4 - Interior

Enjoy your car from the inside.

  • Focus on the main areas of your interior; floor, seats, windows and dash.
  • Remove floor mats and give them a good shake. Then vacuum the floor first and then mats separately.
  • Seats can also be vacuumed but take extra care of leather seats as they can scratch easily. Attach a soft brush attachment to the vacuum for these. Use a stain remover on your carpet and upholstery and good quality leather cleaners for leather seats.
  • Clean glass is vital and should be the most regularly cleaned area of your interior. Microfibre cloths are ideal to wipe down glass cleaner as they leave no lint behind.
  • The dash and other interior trims should be cleaned and then use a protectant to avoid fading from the harsh Australian UV.
